About Me

Hi, I’m Mirza Farhan Ahmed

The founder of Summit Scholars

I was born and raised in Pakistan, but moved to the UK during my school years, where I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels — achieving all A and A* grades. This led me to the University of Warwick, where I graduated with a BSc in Mathematics and Physics, followed by a MSc in Physics from the University of Sussex, specialising in Quantum Field Theory.

My Teaching Journey

I started tutoring while still doing my own GCSEs, and since then, I’ve taught in various private schools, alongside extensive one-to-one and small group tutoring in Physics, Maths, and Further Maths.
Over my 7+ years of teaching and tutoring, I’ve seen first-hand how small, focused classes can transform not only grades but also confidence and problem-solving skills. That’s why I founded Summit Scholars: to deliver expert, higher-tier tuition with a personal touch, with a maximum of 4 students per class so everyone gets the attention they deserve.
Our motto, Per Aspera Ad Astra (Through Hardship… to the Stars), perfectly reflects my teaching philosophy. I see learning as a climb towards the stars, — it requires dedication, resilience, and the right guidance. My role is to guide each student to their personal summit, whether that’s an A* in A-Level Physics/Maths or simply the confidence to tackle any academic challenge.

My Philosophy

I teach in an approachable and friendly manner, making sure students feel comfortable asking questions, while also setting high expectations to push them to their full potential. Every lesson is carefully structured, blending clear explanations with exam-focused practice to ensure top results.
When I’m not teaching, I’m often hiking in the mountains, timing a cover drive on the cricket field, or working through a tricky chess endgame — always bringing the same curiosity and perseverance to life that I encourage in my students.
